DTL Crew,
This weekend is a special one for all of us.
One year ago this weekend, we did a test run of “Double Trouble Live” at Los Alamitos just to see if we could make our crazy show work. What started as an idea between friends has grown into something none of us could have imagined, and that's all because of YOU.
Since our official launch during the second week of Del Mar in 2025, we've been fortunate to share one, two, and sometimes even three shows every week with the DTL Crew—without a break. Together, we've celebrated wins, survived tough beats, chased tickets, supported each other, and built an incredible community of horseplayers—while showing the industry decision-makers that we are still here…and we will support the tracks that support us.
So, for the first time in a long time, we're taking this weekend off.
We'll be heading back to Los Alamitos to celebrate where it all began and to play in their live-money handicapping contest, which we do twice a year because we actually gamble and care about handle growth instead of YouTube views, likes, or subscribers. One day, the industry will catch up with us!
We are also taking this time to celebrate “DTL” Exec. Producer Terri Marconi’s 29th Birthday.
As for our intern Mark Gelding...he has accepted a temporary gig with FIFA as Head of VAR for the World Cup. We wish him well and expect several controversial reviews until they fire him and he rejoins us in time for our BIG SUMMER PLANS!!!!
Which include:
Special Saratoga coverage begins Friday, July 3
Expanded Del Mar coverage begins July 17, 2026
Thursday through Sunday programming throughout the Del Mar and Saratoga meets
We truly believe this summer is going to be our biggest and most exciting yet because the DTL Crew, the MATRIX Loyalists, and the CaliforniaPick4 peeps are now united in arms!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey. Your support, participation, feedback, and enthusiasm have helped make “Double Trouble Live” what it is today.
Enjoy the weekend, cash some tickets, and we'll see you back at the races next weekend!
