Dear DTL Crew,
Ciaran won yesterday. Naturally, he’s furious it wasn’t more. The wider Pick 3 cashed, the Race 7–8 Double cashed, and Rosario is once again being called before Ciaran’s Department of Missing Profits.
Your free edition includes yesterday’s scorecard, Ciaran’s Gulfstream Race 8 writeup and his first Pick 3 ticket. Frank leads off the previews below. He requested top billing; Mark asked whether that counted as his first winner.
YESTERDAY: CIARAN CASHED
Belmont’s late sequence was 11–12–6: Card Man ($3.10), Nash Potatoes ($15.74) and Maria Callas ($8.90). Those are $2 win prices.
Ciaran’s wider $1 Pick 3 returned $56.96. His Race 7–8 Double returned $113.50 at his $10 base. Playing all six published tickets after removing the scratches would have cost $120 and returned $170.46: a $50.46 profit. This reconstructs the published plays; actual returns depend on the tickets played.
Rosario’s Neshika finished third in the finale, leaving the main $5 Pick 3 and late Doubles uncashed. Ciaran says Rosario has cost him the bigger payday again. Mark suggested enjoying the profit. Ciaran has asked Mark to leave the room.
RACE IQ: THE REPORT CARD
12 of 18 winners in the original top three across Belmont and Gulfstream: six at each track. Original top choices won 6 of 17 starts, and 15 of 17 finished in the money. Gulfstream’s eight top choices that ran all finished first, second or third.
The win-bet grade needs work: $2 on each original top-choice starter returned $27.86 from $34, a $6.14 loss. Scratched top choices are excluded, with no replacements promoted. Finding contenders and showing a betting profit are separate scores.
Race IQ missed Nash Potatoes in its top three. Ciaran had the potatoes. The computer is being asked to explain its dietary choices.

CIARAN’S FREE GULFSTREAM PICK
Race 8 — 4, 6, 7 / 8 Morning-line odds below are from today’s notes.
#4 Scottish Lass — 2-1: Ciaran’s standout on the workouts: a Saffie Joseph debut runner with bullet works. His caution is a rider winning at 6% in the figures cited in his notes.
#6 Starship Sephora — 5-2: Another firster with bullet works at Gulfstream, this one for D’Angelo. Ciaran likes the preparation but notes another cold rider, at 7%.
#7 Practical Billing — 6-1: The experience alternative, with a mild rally on debut and Diego aboard. #8 Germaine Lass — 7-2: Backup coverage despite trainer figures of 0-for-17 with two-year-olds and 0-for-17 turf to dirt in the notes.
