Dear DTL Crew,
Belmont opens today, Ciaran is back, and Mark has asked whether we can start the week over. Your free preview includes Ciaran’s Race 7 writeup and his first late Pick 3 ticket. The complete Belmont analysis, remaining tickets and Gulfstream Race IQ selections are in today’s premium edition.
Ciaran’s return is perfectly timed. He missed yesterday’s damage, but he is available all day to explain how he would have prevented it. His boarding pass is being submitted as evidence.
YESTERDAY: TWO OUT OF THREE PAYS NOTHING
Frank had A-rated winners in Churchill’s last two races: No Bien Ni Mal ($6.30) and Act of Parliament ($8.68). Unfortunately, his Pick 3 missed Bridgesong in the first leg. The winning sequence paid $978.36 for $3. Frank called it “a strong finish.” The cashier called it “next.”
Race IQ had a rough day too, with 4 of 16 winners in its published top three across Churchill and Charles Town. Mark restarted the computer. The results were still there. We show the bad days too—even when Frank offers to rename them “research.”
YOUR FREE BELMONT PREVIEW
Friday, September 18 • Opening day • Nine races. Ciaran’s late sequence begins in Race 7. With a new track, watch the earlier races to see how the surface is playing. Everyone is learning today; Ciaran will simply be doing it louder.
All odds shown are morning-line odds. Check scratches and final rider assignments before betting.
Race 7 — 11, 5, 2, 10
#11 Card Man — 2-1: Ciaran’s key horse. He points to the top speed figure, the Prat/Chad Brown combination and the trainer’s first-time-routing record. He expects a shorter price by post time.
#5 Casino — 15-1: A Casse turf-to-dirt runner with Carmouche, offering a price alternative. #2 E Z Speaker — 10-1: Another Casse runner switching to dirt after a slow start on debut. #10 Bletchley — 9-2: The other Chad Brown runner, with Franco and a $1.5 million purchase price. Frank saw that price tag and asked whether the horse came with a winning ticket.
CIARAN’S FIRST PICK 3 TICKET
Belmont Races 7–9 • $5 per combination
|
Main Pick 3 · $5 base · $30
11 / 14 (AE), 12, 1 / 11, 12
|
Total: $30 for six combinations. Race 8 #14 Ghazaaly is also-eligible and must draw in. If he does not draw in, remove #14 and this ticket costs $20, before any other scratches.
That is Ciaran’s first ticket. Premium members get his thinking for the next two legs and the other five tickets. Frank asked whether the free sample could include a refund for yesterday. We have referred him to the cashier.
