Thanks for the summer.
Frank’s horse should be here by Belmont.
DEL MAR + SARATOGA | SUMMER 2026
|
|
Dear Premier Crew,
Thank you for a memorable summer at Del Mar and Saratoga.
For reading the reports, watching the shows, sharing your tickets and sticking with us through the winners, the heartbreakers and Ciaran’s ongoing investigation into every jockey in North America—we appreciate you.
Your Premier membership helps support the work behind Double Trouble Live. You’ve given us your time, your trust and, occasionally, some very accurate descriptions of our selections.

A special thank-you to
Adelphi Racing Club.
Their support helped make our summer coverage possible. We’re grateful to the entire Adelphi team for backing Double Trouble Live and this community of horseplayers.
Sponsoring horse racing takes enthusiasm. Sponsoring Frank and Ciaran also requires an unusually generous interpretation of the word “talent.”

DEL MAR • FINAL MEET STANDINGS
|
|
Jockeys: Joel Rosario 42 wins, Juan Hernandez 37, Antonio Fresu 32 and Umberto Rispoli 27.
Trainers: Doug O’Neill 27 wins, Bob Baffert 17 and Phil D’Amato 16.
Rosario started the meet 1-for-30 and still won the title. Frank has asked us to emphasize that part. He believes he’s simply in the opening chapter of the same story.

SARATOGA • FINAL MEET STANDINGS
|
|
Jockeys: Manny Franco captured his first Spa riding title with 73 wins, ahead of Flavien Prat’s 67 and Jose Ortiz’s 66.
Trainers: Chad Brown 42 wins, Linda Rice 40 and Brad Cox 23.
Brown winning 42 races is impressive. Ciaran explaining why he preferred the other Chad Brown horse in each race is an endurance event.

Combined Travers stream views
September 2 snapshot

Across the six matched Del Mar Thursdays in our earlier season comparison, the combined Late Pick 3 and Late Double pools increased 37.2%—an additional $848,421 over the previous year.
Our two Travers streams had approximately 33,000 combined views in the September 2 snapshot.
Thank you for watching, sharing and helping bring more attention to the racing we love. Ciaran is still checking whether that $848,421 includes his final backup ticket.

🥈 The unofficial awards
Frank: Lifetime Achievement in Seconditis.
His horses don’t stop trying. Unfortunately, neither does the finish line.
|
Ciaran: Best Original Screenplay for a “Small” Ticket.
It starts with two horses and ends with a spreadsheet that needs planning permission.
|
Our Premier Members: Most Valuable Players.
You made this summer feel like a group of friends at the races. The questions, the laughs and the shared excitement mattered just as much as the tickets.
