🏇 THE GREAT X VIEWER DERBY
The early returns are in—and Frank has opened up a commanding lead.
Frank and the DTL crew checked in with 345 viewers, while Ciaran’s CaliPick4 audience arrived at 30—roughly the population of a charming little Irish village: small, loyal, and everyone probably knows each other.
Frank’s audience continues to expand—a growth category his belly understands personally.
Ciaran has vowed to fight back. Sources say he is studying the algorithm, sharpening his opinions, and searching Ireland for a second village.
Frank currently leads the X Viewer Derby by 315. Ciaran has requested a recount—and possibly several large Irish families.
Frank was alive to three well-paying horses in yesterday’s finale. Naturally, all three lost to an 0-for-16 maiden.
Ciaran, meanwhile, accidentally hit with what Frank described as a “throwaway nonsense ticket.” It didn’t pay much, but nothing irritates a handicapper more than watching someone else cash incorrectly.
Frank says he is ready to catch fire today. The Del Mar Fire Department has been notified but remains skeptical.

Race 6: Juvenile Chaos Department
Frank has three A’s in a race filled with lightly raced 2-year-olds—which is handicapping’s way of saying, “I have strong opinions and absolutely no idea what these children will do.” #7 Daytona Diamond is the potential single. #4 Sentient Soon at 8-1 is the price play.
Race 7: Frank Versus the Firsters
Frank traditionally dislikes first-time starters going long on turf. He prefers losing to horses he has already seen. #2 Dream Seeker is the potential single, while #7 Ocean Club at 8-1 adds blinkers and should be forwardly placed.
Race 8: “So Sneaky!”
#7 Special Club is the potential single and likely favorite. #4 My Bodacious Boy at 12-1 is the sneaky price play. Kimura had options and stayed here—which caused Frank to deploy the highly technical handicapping phrase: “So sneaky!”

☘️ CIARAN’S DEL MAR PLAYS
Ciaran enters today carrying the confidence of a man who cashed yesterday despite admittedly screwing up his own tickets. That kind of form is impossible to handicap.
$3 ALL-TURF PICK 3 — RACES 1, 4 AND 7
4,1,5 / 7,4 / 2,10,6,9 — $72
$36 version: Single Race 4
Ciaran’s full ticket covers nine combinations, three races and most of coastal Ireland.
$3 PICK 3 — RACES 6, 7 AND 8
2,1,7 / 2,10,6,9 / 7,11 — $72
Frank and Ciaran agree on #7 in the finale. When these two agree, you either bet confidently or check whether Mercury is in retrograde.
$5 LOW-TAKEOUT LATE DOUBLE
$15: 2,10,6,9 / 7 — $60
$10: 2,10,6,9 / 11 — $40
Four horses in the first leg and two opinions in the second: the logical horse and the horse that will make everyone yell.

🤖 THE MODEL’S BEST BET OF THE DAY
Race 1 — #4 Your Sincerely
This is the model’s top pick, not merely Ciaran’s best bet. If it wins, Ciaran will accept full credit. If it loses, the computer will be unplugged and questioned.
💣 LONGSHOT AND VALUE PLAYS
Race 3 — #6 Clubhouse Ride at 15-1
The model identified this runner as both a Double Qualifier Longshot and a Chaos Horse. Two fancy labels, one big price and absolutely no pressure.
Race 8 — #4 My Bodacious Boy at 12-1
Kimura stays aboard for the red-hot Yakteen barn. Frank also made him an A, meaning My Bodacious Boy has achieved the rarest designation in racing: Frank-Ciaran diplomatic agreement.

📺 OUR FINAL DEL MAR SHOW IS SUNDAY
There is no Double Trouble Live show today. We return Sunday for our final Del Mar show of the meet—one last afternoon of tickets, bad beats, Frank blaming racing luck and Ciaran somehow cashing something he says he didn’t mean to play.
