PREMIER CREW,
It’s the final Del Mar Thursday of the summer, and Frank has officially
described the late sequence as “very tough.”
That is professional handicapper language for:
“I’m spending more than I wanted, using nearly everyone I remotely respect,
and reserving the right to change everything four minutes before post.”
Frank says everything could change before airtime, so join us live for the
final tickets, board reads and the usual calm, rational discussion that has
never once ended with someone yelling at a jockey.

💡 TODAY’S MARK ENSIGHT
“When Frank says he doesn’t want to spend too much, the Matrix quietly
prints a $231 receipt.”
|
|
|
😂 A Quick Sunday Recap
Frank had several promising tickets alive to his A horses in the finale
after his 19-1 B horse delivered in the opening leg.
Unfortunately, the expected fast pace never appeared, and his stretch runners
completed the important part of the race in
another postal code.
Today brings a fresh card, a fresh Matrix and another opportunity to turn
a perfectly reasonable $231 investment into enough money to pretend this
was the plan all along.

🔥 The Premier Quick Read
|
|
RACE 6 — CIARAN’S BEST BET
#7 THE WHITE LADY
Ciaran puts #7 The White Lady on top and makes her his
Best Bet of the Day. He believes the class relief and
switch to Rispoli give her a major chance, although he still wants
protection on some tickets.
Frank also gives her an A, but his 15-1 wiseguy horse is
#8 Cameron Slough, whom he believes could benefit from
the expected hot pace.
Ciaran: 7, 4, 5, 8
Frank’s A’s: 8, 7, 3
Translation: everybody likes the 7, Frank is trying to get rich with
the 8, and nobody is emotionally prepared to watch the stretch.

|
|
RACE 7 — THE AGREEMENT ALARM HAS SOUNDED
#4 PAVEL IS APPEALING
Frank and Ciaran have landed on the
same three main horses:
Ciaran: 4, 1, 2
Frank’s A’s: 4, 2, 1
Both put #4 Pavel Is Appealing on top. Ciaran views
the 4 as a logical single candidate, while Frank believes the return
to dirt and projected stalking trip make her extremely appealing.
Frank and Ciaran independently agreed on the same horse. Del Mar,
the stewards and several scientific institutions have been notified.

|
|
RACE 8 — HEROIC DOSE REQUIRED
#1 HEROIC DOSE
Ciaran puts #1 Heroic Dose on top and believes he
should dominate the field on paper, although the jockey timing remains
the concern.
Frank’s A horses are #4 Sissy Girl,
#6 Shapoval and #1 Heroic Dose.
The shared keys are the 1 and 6, while Frank’s price swing is the
8-1 filly #4 Sissy Girl against the boys.
Ciaran: 1, 5, 6
Frank’s A’s: 4, 6, 1
Watching a maiden-claiming turf finale with your money alive may also
require an actual heroic dose. Please consult your physician.
